SYMPAQ SQL can be installed as a standalone or as a networked application. When you run SYMPAQ SQL on a Local Area Network, your data files and certain program components are deployed on the network server, and the program files are installed on individual workstations. SYMPAQ SQL is a client/server software application, and does not support peer-to-peer networking. The software can optionally be accessed via a Web client under Microsoft Windows® 2000 or 2003 Terminal Services.

The following operating systems are supported:

Standalone Workstation

• Windows 2000 Professional, Service Pack 2 or greater
• Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 1 or greater

Network Server

• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Service Packs 2 - 4
• Windows 2003 Server, Service Pack 1
• Red Hat Linux 7.0 or greater
